The ePremier League Finals kicks off an exciting time in the FC Pro season, as it marks the start of major partner league finals. Trophies are won and qualification to regional tournaments as well as the FC Pro World Championship are on the line.
England’s top tier FC Pro competition traditionally provides excitement and drama along with memorable moments and 2026’s tournament was no exception. With new faces coming to play along with returning champions and the best FC Pro players that the UK has to offer.
One of the most intriguing stories of the whole competition was the defending champions Tekkz and Bonanno no longer representing the same team. With Tekkz switching the blue of Manchester City with the white of Leeds United. While Bonanno remained with the three-time ePremier League champions, Manchester City. But he also had a new teammate in the form of the talented Jafonso.
During the ePremier League Group Stages, Manchester City (Bonanno & Jafonso), Tottenham Hotspur (Tom Leese & Marley), Leeds United (Tekkz & NiKSNEB) and Sunderland (Young and Paulo Neto) topped their respective groups, automatically qualifying for the Quarter-Finals.

In the first match Paulo Neto showed why he has won the eMLS cup in 2025, as he handily beat RhysVaughan 6-2. It was up to HarveyWxters to keep Newcastle in the competition when he played Young. In a valiant effort, Wxters won his match 6-4, but it was not enough to flip the aggregate score.
Manchester City (Bonanno & Jafonso), Tottenham Hotspur (Marley & Tom Leese), Leeds (Tekkz & NiKSNEB) and Sunderland (Paulo Neto & Young) all made it through to the Semi-Finals.
Semi-Finals
At this point of the competition, winning would secure a team their place this season’s eChampions League and a place in the ePL Final.
Manchester City 11-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Bonanno 5-0 Marley
Jafonso 6-1 Tom Leese
In an astounding statement victory Manchester City produced a huge 11-1 win on aggregate. In a repeat of the previous two ePremier League Finals, Bonanno played Marley. The reigning champion was relentless in his pursuit of place in another Final for Manchester City, thrashing Marley 5-0 in the first leg. This left Tom Leese and Spurs in a perilous position. And it proved to be an impossible task as Tom Leese was beaten 6-1 by Jafonso.
Leeds 12-11 Sunderland
NiKSNEB 3-1 Young
Tekkz 5-7 Paulo Neto (Score tied 8-8 on aggregate - Tekkz won 4-3 on penalties)
Throughout the Grand Finals the drama levels had been steadily rising, with pressure growing as the competition reached the latter stages. As Leeds faced Sunderland, the excitement reached new heights. In the first tie, NiKSNEB proved he was a top quality FC Pro player, beating former eLiga Portugal champion Young 3-1. But the second leg of the tie was intense, with Tekkz facing off against Paulo Neto.
Paulo took an early 4-1 lead which at that stage had the score 5-4 on aggregate. But Tekkz wasn’t beaten and used his resilient mindset to claw back to level the game 5-5. Paulo Neto then scored first and then quickly conceded twice more, leaving the tie 7-7 after 90 in-game minutes. During extra-time, Paulo again gained an advantage, only to be pegged back by Tekkz late on. The match was forced into a penalty shootout.
From 12 yards it was Tekkz who prevailed scoring 4 out of 4 of his spot kicks and crucially saving one of Paulo’s. The players and crowd erupted once Tekkz had secured victory and a place in the eChampions League and the ePremier LEague Grand Final.
ePremier League: Grand Final
Manchester City 8-6 Leeds
Jafonso 3-2 NiKSNEB
Bonanno 5-4 Tekkz
In what seemed to be fate, Manchester City and Leeds United played in the final of this £100,000 tournament. With Bonanno and Tekkz the defending champions on each side, somebody was going to retain, while the other would have to settle for 2nd place.
Before the match had even begun there was intrigue - would the former teammates go head-to-head? And would it be in the first or second leg? After several minutes of uncertainty and speculation, it was revealed that Bonanno and Tekkz would face off in the Grand Final and in the second leg!
In the Grand Final opener, Jafonso and NiKSNEB played in a close and at times cagey affair, where both missed vital opportunities to score more goals, but were stopped by their defiant opponent. After the first leg it was Jafonso that had given his team the advantage, beating NiKSNEB 3-2. And then it was time for the crescendo of this season’s ePremier League. Bonanno v Tekkz for the ePremier League title.
This match-up would be the first time the two had played against each other in FC Pro competition since Tekkz departed Manchester City.
Tekkz took an early two goal lead, flipping the aggregate score in Leeds’ favour, but it didn’t take Bonanno long to respond. The Argentine leveled the tie midway through the 2nd half. For the remainder of regulation time, Tekkz would take the lead on aggregate before Bonanno would equalise. As the final whistle blew, Tekkz had won the game 3-2, but the aggregate score read 5-5. Extra-time was needed to settle this Grand Final.
In extra-time, Tekkz again took the lead, only to surrender the lead to a Bonanno equaliser. With the pressure building and the tension in the arena growing by the second a winner did emerge. Bonanno took a late aggregate lead moments before adding a decisive goal near the end of extra-time, putting Manchester City two goals to the good and putting him 5-4 up in the leg. This was enough to hold on for the victory and the ePremier League title.
Jafonso and Bonanno had done it for Manchester City. Giving City their fourth ePremier League title and Bonanno his third consecutive win in the competition. Along with the trophy, the winners received a share of £30,000 and both players a place at the FC Pro World Championship in July.
